Background Kwarikwar Islamic and Primary Quranic Memorisation School is located in the Kwarikwar Village in Bukedea District, Eastern Uganda. The school started in the year 2017 with support from Kwarikwar Orphan Care (KOC); a community-based organization with support from donors around the world taking part in the online crowd fundraising. We have 200 orphans who need sponsorship support Kwarikwar Islamic and Primary Quranic Memorisation School teaches both English and Arabic studies on a daily basis. It has a staff of 15 teachers with both English and Arabic skills. The school has a total of 200 students - where the majority are orphans. After realizing the increased need and importance of education in the village, this school was formed by a community-based organization (CBO) to eradicate and enhance both Islamic and English studies for a better future for these orphans at Kwarikwar Orphan Care.
