My name is Moonie, and I never imagined I would find myself writing these words. I am a single mother, homeless and living in my car, trying to stay strong even on the days when I feel completely broken.
Every night, I sit in a car that has become our only shelter and wonder when life will finally give us a chance to breathe. I try to hide my fear and sadness, especially for my child, because a mother is supposed to make her child feel safe. But the truth is, I am scared. I am tired. And I desperately want a safe place we can call home.
I wake up each morning hoping that something will change. I am doing everything I can to survive, but carrying this burden alone has become overwhelming. I don’t want luxury. I don’t want anything extravagant. I just want a warm, safe room, a secure place to sleep, and the chance to rebuild our lives with dignity.
I am asking for help because I have reached a point where I cannot do this alone. Any contribution, no matter how small, could help us move closer to stable housing, food, transportation, and a fresh start.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing my story. You never know who might see it and become the reason a struggling mother finally gets another chance.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for hearing me, believing in me, and helping me hold onto hope.
